The Delaware Community School Corporation utilizes the School Messenger system to send messages to parents and staff members.
These messages include emergency alerts, weather delay alerts, attendance alerts, and more.
School Messenger sends alerts via phone call, email, and text messages. The phone information is pulled from PowerSchool. It will use your home phone, mother's cell phone and father's cell phone, as well as mother's and father's email addresses.
Text messages must have an opt-in before it will send a text message. See the note below to add text messaging.
Note: Before you can receive text messages from School Messenger you need to opt-in. This in only required to be done one time, so if you have previously opted-in you do not need to do it again.
To opt-in: Just text Y to 67587. You should receive a text back to confirm they received your request.If at any time you would like to opt-out, simply text STOP to 67587.
School Messenger does not charge recipients for text messages that you receive. However, wireless providers may charge for individual text messages, depending on the plan associated with the wireless device. Please consult your carrier if you are uncertain.
